Sir Pizza spans a generation! Phil and Shirley Butler came to High Point, NC from Muncie, Indiana, where Phil worked part time in the late 1950’s with Bob Swartz, who began perfecting the recipe that would lead to the Sir Pizza and Pizza King franchises.
Phil and Shirley Butler opened Sir Pizza in 1966 right here in High Point, NC, where the little pizza squares are still going strong today. It is definitely a family affair with Phil and Shirley’s children, Phillip, Jeff, Joey, Danny and Diana all started at a young age working in the restaurant, and most still do to this day . Many High Pointers grew up on Sir Pizza, and today, those that have stuck around, still frequent the restaurant and eat the pizza they grew up with. The success is its trade secret recipes. All dough is made from scratch at our own Commissary where meat sauce is cooked fresh as well. The pizza’s look is distinctive, with slices cut into squares, and a motto that lives up to its name, “Good to the Very Edge”. The taste, look and loyal customer base are what makes Sir Pizza one of a kind.
